Chat without sharing your phone number.
In BharatApp Chat your @username is your number. Give people a name or a QR code — your mobile number stays private.
Why keep your number private
Your number is personal. Once a shop, a seller on a marketplace, a tuition group or a stranger in a big group has your mobile number, it can end up in spam lists, scam calls and unknown groups.
A @username can be shared safely. Put it on your business card, a social profile or a classified ad. If you don't want to hear from someone, they can't call your phone.
How it works
1. Pick a @username
Something like @lakshmi7. Sign-up asks for a username, a password and a Gmail address to verify you — never a phone number.
2. Share it or your QR code
People find you by your @username. They send a request and you decide whether to accept.
3. Chat and call
Text, voice notes, photos, videos, files, groups, status and voice calls — all end-to-end encrypted.
Your Gmail stays hidden
It is used only to verify you and to reset your password. Nobody you chat with sees it.
Good for
Selling on OLX or Facebook Marketplace, dating, college and tuition groups, freelancers and small businesses, community groups, and anyone who doesn't want their number passed around.
